Great Sankey Parish Council are fed up with owners not picking up their dog’s mess at Tim Parry Recreation Ground and have started covering it with bright pink florescent paint.

They hope it will encourage owners to clean up after their dog if they foul on the Recreation Ground. The idea is that when people see how much dog mess there is around, they’ll start cleaning up after their pet.

The Playing Ground is a popular area for children and football teams. One young resident who is very annoyed by the problem has designed a poster for the Parish Council to display.

In the New Year the Parish Council will be installing CCTV to the outside of the Community Centre and both car park areas. This will also be used to help tackle this form of anti-social behaviour.
